Hello,
I recently received my permanent resident card so I'm good for 5 years! I'm going to start working in Freelance soon in web and mobile application development, so I'll be working from home 100% of the time.
I'm French citizen and I'd like to know if it's possible for me to go back in France for 1 year, see my family, friends, travel in Europe, and in same time work and bill my clients at my canadian address, in canadian dollars, and receive my money in my canadian account?
Thanks!

Sure you csn but keep in mind you have to pay taxes in Canadian dollars too

Hi

Does it mean that if I can establish a business of my own, live outside Canada and pay the taxes in Canada, I can renew or keep my PR status?
Please clarify ... thank you

No. To retain your PR status, you must physically reside in Canada for 2 years out of the last 5. There are a few exceptions but the situation you outlined does not qualify for any of them.
