Live in Canada work in Saudi

Hi,
I currently live in Scotland and work in Saudi on a 5week on 3 week off Rotation.
Does anyone know if I could apply for Canadian Immigration and continue to work on the same rotation in Saudi.

My wife is a Child minder also qualified Nanny and would like to do the same in Canada.
Any info appreciated

To keep your PR status you will have to live 2 years out of every 5 rolling years in Canada. These days do not have to be consecutive.

If you're doing a 5 week on and 3 week off rotation - you will fall short of the residency requirement. You'll need to find a way to spend more time in Canada to ensure your PR status can be maintained.
