Hi - When I applied for my PR 2.5 years ago, I had created a checklist of documents which helped me submit correctly. Here's how it looked:

1. Passport copy
2. PCC
3. Education documents
4. Financial proof.
so on..

I want to create a similar checklist for my spouse sponsorship. The forms says "checklist" but provide only generic guidelines. Can somebody please help me make a similar list as above? Below is what I have currently:

1. Relationship Proof
2. Spouse PCC
3. Spouse Passport copy
4. My financial proof
.......

The pack of forms you download for spousal sponsorship includes the official CIC checklist. Use that only and nothing else.

It would appear you haven't actually looked at the checklist, as it is fairly detailed.

I am sorry, you guys are right. I haven’t looked at the checklist. I’ll do that. I am getting married abroad in October. Can I start filling in the application now or should I wait until I get my marriage certificate?

You can fill in the application whenever you want but forms are updated often, so you would need to make sure you have the most up-to-date forms.
