Linking Existing Application

What i should write against this question: ( Number of family members, including the primary applicant, that are part of this application )?

I want to link existing application to receive updates from VO. So i dont know what to write either 1 or 2. My wife lives in canada and sponsoring me only. She is now in canada and i am here.
