Is there a limit to the amount of visitor extensions you can get?

I am a US citizen. I have got 2 of them. I applied for my 3rd. I going through the spousal sponsorship process. It has been almost 2 years in the process.He s

My lawyer made the comment, hopefully I won't need a 4th extension. He didn't seem worried, nor am I. Just wondering how many times it can be done.

Anyone need more than 3 extensions?

I figured but wasn't sure.

I wonder if it is harder to get, the more you need or are they treated equally as long as you have a legit reason, which my is family class sponsorship pending.

Yes, it is harder.

If you have a legit reason + show you have how to afford the stay + good behaviour + etc + etc + etc.
