WOW! Wife got PR visa in 49 days. CPC-Mississauga received package October 31, 2012. Sponsorship was approved on December 6. File received in Lima: December 12. Passport requested: December 17. Visa issued: December 19, 2012. Passport with visa on it and other documents returned yesterday December 27, 2012.

Congrats! Most likely you benefited from an administrative error, and your app somehow skipped to the front of the line so was opened and started processing WAY earlier than it should have.
Perhaps it was a brand new visa officer there or something... but whatever the reason consider yourself incredibly lucky!

WTF?? Its great for you, but how unfair is that to ppl like us? The waiting time is 16 months in Lima - is there anything you're not telling us? I would really like to know as we are obviously very anxious....thank you..
