What will happen to a Canadian and a foreigner when they lied to immigration? Not yet in an at least 1 year exclusive dating relationship yet but applied for for travel exemption last October 2020. Took advantage of the system to meet each other. Admitted that they got official just recently.

Could cause you lots of problems if you ever apply for sponsorship. You application remains on file to compare to future applications. Lying to immigration is a very bad idea.
