Dear All seniors...

I need your help & support on urgent basis.!!!

I have shown more than $17,011 (canadian) in my account for 3 family members under skilled worker class. I have got the letter from London office saying that I have insufficient funds as per the LICO figure.

Please guys advise me if this LICO figure is applicable for Skilled worker class or it is only for those who are already living in canada and wants to sponsor their family for super visa..

As per LICO figure, I have to show $34,000 (canadian).

I will appreciate the answers.....

Warm Regards,.. :'(

Re: LICO Figure!!!

Just to be clear, you did apply as a skilled worker to LVO or are you trying to apply for sponsorship of a relative? Because the LICO (from what I read at CIC) only applies with sponsorship, not FSW. If you did apply for FSW then the letter just may be a mistake and you should asked for clarification.

Re: LICO Figure!!!

Thanks for your advice. Yes, I have applied as principal applicant, skilled worker class.

So, no need to send any further bank statements and I should send them the letter for clarification???

Re: LICO Figure!!!

While LICO is indeed only for family sponsorship, FSW applicants do need to show "proof of funds" based on your family size (unless you have arranged employment). As you've probably seen, per http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp, you need to have $17,011 for a family of 3.

I would send them a case specific enquiry attaching the following (or a letter with the following attached)
- a cover letter explaining the situation and asking them for clarification
- copy of the proof of funds bank statements you had sent them
- proof that you still have those funds in your bank statement
- a scanned copy of the website on "proof of funds" so they know what you are referring to
- a scanned copy of the letter they sent you requesting LICO

Sometimes they ask for 6 months worth of recent bank statements to ensure you still have the funds (and have had them consistently) so depending on how many you have provided them, consider sending them the last 6 months so they have them now.

If you don't hear from them, make sure you mail it to them before the due date also.

Re: LICO Figure!!!

Thanks a lot for your advice.

But, the problem is I have already withdrawn the funds from my account.

Funds are not issue for me, as my father is going to give me my share from property in cash, my question is will it work?

London office has clearly mentioned in their letter, they will not accept any sort of unexplained large deposits & gifts.

They are asking my last 10 month's bank statement, but as I have mentioned earlier, i have already withdrawn the funds and now my account is not having sufficient amount.

Should I deposit the money that my father is going to give me???? what sort of documentation will be required to proof that my father has given me my share from property.

I'll appreciate the suggestions!!!!!!!!
