Can LIC be shown as funds?

LIC as funds will not be allowed, you can take loan on LIC policy and then deposit in your bank account to show POF. They want liquid funds which are available in bank in the shape of savings / FDR's.

Do we have to disclose LIC policy loan. Or will they come to know about all the loans
