Hello,

If we had our friends and family write letters to maximize the authenticity of our relationship in the application, do they need to notarize these letters or can they just be printed and signed by them? or handwritten and signed?

Thank you.

Look at the instructions in your country-specific guide. If you require a certain number to be notarized, that will be listed in there.

Usually, statutory declarations (notarized letters from family/friends) are only required for a common-law sponsorship.

Having said that, a notarized letter will certainly have more credence with CIC.

As I said in your other thread, you should most definitely get a notarized letter from your parents at the very least.
