Greetings.

I've been having an awful time trying to get my declaration of common-law union and my letters to testify of my relationship, mostly because my two witnesses have extremely busy schedules and making an appointment ahead of time while keeping up with everyone's schedule is just impossible.

Do the two witnesses absolutely have to come along to get their letter notarized? Or is there other ways to proceed?

It depends on which VO is handling your case , check your country's guide . it's required to be Notarized for most countries , however it's not even required for others i.e South America ( Mexico VO )

My guide only says " at least two statutory declarations from individuals with personal knowledge of your relationship supporting your claim that the relationship is genuine and continuing".

I'm not exactly sure if it means that they need to be notarized, or if the people need to be with me.

The people who wrote the letters are the ones who need to have it notarized. You don't need to be there.

Oh! That makes it a whole lot easier already, if they can do it seperately.

Now, to make them do it without taking too long... Thank you for your help!
