Hi, Sorry if this has already been asked but searching through everything is a task.. and most google searches throw up historic results from before CIC overhauled the system, anyway...

I am just about to send off my inland application for PR, i am being sponsored by my common-law girlfriend.

The last section of IMM 5589 the document checklist asks for 'other proof that your relationship is recognised by your friends and/or family (e.g. Letters, social media posts showing public relationship etc.)

So i have included:
-6 Letters from various friends and family members on both sides giving us there support.
-2 Christmas cards hand drawn by my mum (she does one every year). They include a picture of us (my girlfriend and i, as well as all the other family members and their partners) and a little blurb stating what we'd all been up to that year and is sent to all the family and friends.
-conformation of flights we shared in a trip to Scotland to see my family
-5/6 screenshots of important relationship events from facebook

1st question, is this enough supporting evidence for this section? (we have rental agreements, benefits, photos etc for the previous sections)
2nd question, should we both write our own letters about our relationship and love for one another? reading through these forums it seems like lots of people include them but nowhere are they requested and all of the formal information is submitted by way of the IMM forms & other supporting documents (such as rental agreements etc) anyway.

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like plenty to me! As long as you have the required 'evidence' in the right number of listed catagories.

No. Not for this particular section. The place to write your 'love story' is in Question 11 of Part C of IMM5532.

Minor point, if the handdrawn cards have sentimental value, you might want to send copies, as everything that is sent to Ottawa/London stays with them

All sounds fine, so long as it meets the criteria. I don't know when the new process wants the relationship questionnaire, but your love story goes in that, in response to "Is there more information you wish to share to support your relationship?"
