Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
we applied common law sponsorship 3 months ago and we submitted at least 5 letters from our friends and family, but we didnt had it notarized, only our declaration of common law. would that be still okay or there's a chance our application might be rejected? thanks :(

forgetting to notarize those letters will not be a reason for rejection. relax! :)

the worst thing that could happen is that they'll send you a request for more proof of relationship, or they may even ask you to resent notarized versions of the letters.

they don't need to be notarized , you don't even need to send them if you don't want too , however they are a good addition . I sent four letters of support from friends ,none was notarized , they just signed and dated them .

thank you ! i felt a little relieved :)

This blanket statement is incorrect. Residents of certain countries need to provide stat declarations.

f you are a common-law or conjugal partner, provide evidence that your relationship is genuine and continuing and has existed for at least 12 months prior to your application, such as proof of cohabitation and proof of conjugal relationship. Proof of conjugal relationship may include but are not limited to the following:
• joint ownership of property(ies)
• joint finances (joint bank account(s), joint investments, etc.)
• life insurance naming each other as beneficiaries
• details of the history of your relationship
• a minimum of two statutory declarations from individuals with personal knowledge of your
relationship supporting your claim that the relationship is genuine and continuing

I think CIC requests different documents for different applicants from different regions .
Mexico and South America are not required to provide notarized letters from friends , here's a list :

PROOF OF RELATIONSHIP TO SPONSOR
If you are being sponsored by your spouse, common-law partner or conjugal partner, you must send
evidence of the relationship between you and your sponsor such as:
• wedding/engagement photos and/or photos of outings;
• letters between you and your sponsor (including postmarked envelopes);
• printed e-mails, chat records or telephone bills;
• proof of your sponsor's visits such as airline ticket coupons, used boarding passes, complete
photocopy of all pages of your sponsor's passport;
• proof of financial support from your sponsor; and
• any other documents that you feel would demonstrate your relationship to your sponsor.

Note: The sponsor and the applicant who are common law or conjugal partners must provide
historical evidence of their ongoing relationship. If they are in a relationship of two years or less and
have no children together, the applicant will receive conditional permanent resident status, if the
application is approved.
