For those unfamiliar with my situation....
My husband went for a medical for CIC last September. After 2.5 months and a mountain of tests he was diagnosed with tuberculosis. Upon gathering all the papers and test results and returning them to the panel physician he sent in the medical this past February 2014. The physician advised that after treatment we would send an updated medical to CIC showing that the TB is cured. We have that appointment scheduled for Tuesday.
My husband is currently in Costa Rica, I am in canada. As he does not speak English he has signed the use of a representative form to me and all correspondence comes to my email or my home in canada.
Today I received a letter in the mail from CIC health branch in Ottawa. The letter states that
"Further medical information is required before a decision can be reached. Please take the enclosed sealed envelope to the panel physician...who will arrange for the additional medical results to be carried out and will forward the results directly to this office"
Unfortunately I am in canada and my husband is in Costa Rica. What I'm wondering is....can I open this sealed envelope for the physician and scan and email him whatever document is inside or does the sealed envelope physically need to get to Costa Rica? Anyone have experience with this? I'm so curious as what would be in the envelope. Lol but I won't open it until I know for sure that I am allowed to.
