Left Canada 5 years ago, coming back soon. Do I still have a credit score?

Hi,

I am looking for an apartment to rent, and they are all asking me for my credit score. I have to pay to get this? Or can they just check themselves?

Also, one of the agents told me that if I have been out of Canada for 5 years, that I would have no credit score....is this true?
