Leaving current employer while PR application is on process. Please advise..

Is it okay to resign to my current employer while my application for PR is still ON PROCESS??? Is my application for open work permit and PR will not be affect if i leave my employer?? If i resign now will not delay my waiting time for my application????

Is your PR based on a job from this employer?
