Hi everyone,

I came to Canada in 2011 as a student, got my PGWP in 2014, and applied for PR through EE (CEC) last week. My PGWP expires in June, and I submitted a BOWP application last Friday.

My question is as follows: I am leaving Canada on Saturday to go back to my home country due to a family emergency which will keep me there for an unknown amount of time. I travel on a European passport that is eligible for eTA, and which I already have.

1. If I receive my BOWP while I'm outside the country, and I get my roommate to FedEx it to me, while I be able to come back into the country without issue?

2. If I don't recieve a BOWP while I'm outside the country, and my work permit expires, can I come back to Canada on my eTA and work under implied status since I've already applied for my BOWP?

3. Will I be allowed back into the country without issue on my eTA if they can tell I have applied for both BOWP and PR?

I tried googling for answers but the most I get is "just come back before your PGWP expires" -- but what if I can't? There's legalities that I have to take care of and I don't know how long it will all take.

Any help is appreciated!

Thank you,
