Hi,

I was hoping to get some help on my case. I currently have a CEC inland application pending and have passed my 6 months processing timeline. I have called IRCC and they told me that everything has passed (i.e. eligibility, medical, security and biometric) except for Criminality. I am not sure why Criminality would take so long as I only have history from the US and no criminal background (not even a parking ticket).
I am currently on a closed work permit and have a travel visa stamped on my passport. I want to go home in December for a month but now I am worried that if my application gets approved while am at home and they issue an automatic COPR they will cancel my work permit and visa and I wont be able to enter the country. Would I be able to go home or would it be too risky to travel in December as I wont be able to come back.

If you leave Canada you should update your address and other information and raise a webform so they issue you a proper COPR.
