Leaving Canada once PR application submitted

Hello,

Can I leave Canada once I have submitted my PR and it is being processed? I am on a working holiday visa which expires in September however I want to go to the states after I submit my PR application (which I am submitting this month) and it is being processed? Don't want to jeopardize my application if I leave.

you can go wherever you want. you dont need to be physically present in Canada while your PR is under process.

Brilliant! Do we have to update details on our submitted application to say we have traveled somewhere else in the mean time in the travel history section?
