Leaving Canada after applying for TRV from within Canada

Hi guys, I need urgent help in a matter. Please help me out here.
I am an international student from Pakistan with a valid study Permit until February 2024. My current TRV expires on July 30th and I applied for a new one from inside Canada through paper. My application was marked delivered by 7th July 2022. I have yet to receive any email or letter from IRCC confirming they have received my application.

Now the problem is that I have to leave Canada on 12th August 2022 (my flight is booked) to attend my brothers wedding in Pakistan. My question is that if I do not yet receive a new TRV by then, can I still leave Canada on my expired TRV? And would I be able to continue my application and correspondence with IRCC from Pakistan? Meaning, could I submit my passport for TRV stamp to a VAC in Pakistan? Or can I not leave Canada now because I applied from within Canada. If this is the case, please guide me on my options because I can't miss my brother's wedding but I need to also be back in Canada by 8th September because my university starts. Processing times for Visa applications outside Canada are too long for that route. Your help is greatly appreciated!

You don't need a TRV to exit Canada. You need one to re-enter later.

Tough one. You've submitted an inland application, I am not sure if IRCC would stamp the visa if the address on the envelop is for an external VAC. Please call them to clear up these things.

Since they're now processing applications faster, you probably have already received the passport request, and to avoid any postal delays, it's recommended to go to their Ottawa centre in person so they'd stamp the visa during your visit (call upfront to be sure).
