Hello :)

I was wondering what happens when you leave before a decision was made on an application to extend visitor status?

What happens if they refuse? If they give you an order to leave Canada, but you're not in Canada to receive it?

Should one, is there a way of letting CIC know you're leaving the country? Is there an office at the airport?

*edit PR application in process. outland, living in Canada.

I would contact the CBSA, they handle immigration enforcement. I dont know what airport you mean, but i know they have an office in terminal 3 at Pearson airport and a major offic close to the airport located at Toronto convention centre.

Hi

If it's refused, it's refused. It doesn't mean anything if you are no longer in Canada. You don't need to inform them you are leaving but you can withdraw the app and maybe get your money back if it's early enough.

The visa she was on that we requested an extension for has expired. She is on implied status. If she is refused, does it retroactively impact the period of implied status?
