Hi,

I recently graduated from University of Waterloo and my case I feel is a bit unique. I applied in May 2021 for Fall 2021 intake but my study visa got delayed 16 months due to COVID and was approved in August 2022. I took the Fall 2021 term online thinking that I will get my study visa approved during that time. However, my university switched to in-person during Winter 2022 term making it impossible for me to continue studying as I could not attend university in person. Now that I have graduated I have 2 Authorized Leave of Absence greater 150 days for Winter 2022 and Spring 2022 term (Before I got my Study Permit Approved). I have attended my studies full time after that and graduated after Fall 2023. I am confused as how do I explain this situation for PGWP as I did not break any Study Permit condition as my permit was not approved during leave of absence and I was in my home country outside of Canada. Has anyone faced a similar situation due to COVID. I plan on flagpoling to explain this one on one to the officer. I would require thoughts, suggestions and advice.

Thanks
