I have used Google, and I've searched forums, but I can't get a satisfying answer, either people have slightly different circumstances, or the answers are not very clear.

I have applied for an extension of my stay (because I will apply for a PR later on). If I get approved, I will get a visitor document. My question is, am I allowed to leave Canada for two weeks and come back if I have a visitor record? I would travel to my home country Sweden for two weeks, partly to see friends and family, but also to renew medical prescriptions, so I kind of feel like I NEED to go to Sweden.

I'm assuming that generally speaking you are allowed to leave temporarily on a visitor record, but I want to make really sure since it's obviously important whether it's ok or not.

Much appreciated.

Re-entry is never guaranteed. Chances are very high you'll be allowed back into Canada. However ultimately up to CBSA.
