Late reply from canada immigration service!need immergency hepl

hi every body, I applied for me and my son for visitor visa about 2 months ago,after doing my biometrics, the send me request letter for consent letter for my son . i submitted the documents before 8 july(it should be submitted by that time), but the don't reply me till now .when i go to my file , it said "we are processing your file", is it normal? will they reply me? I realy don't know what to do? should i provide a follow up letter?

There is nothing you can do but wait. The processing times posted on the IRCC web site are estimates only and it's not unusual for processing to take longer. Since IRCC had to request an additional document from you, you should expect that your case will take quite a bit longer than a standard case.
