Are anyone else's GCMS notes late?
Our first set came on day 30. This current one is now 10 days late. I have sent 2 emails (7 days apart), but no response. I know a few people have mentioned that the ATIP office is experiencing a high volume of requests, but was wondering if anyone else is experiencing a delay as well.

I am waiting as well, ordered on June 8th and nothing yet. Sent them an email, no reply.

Your notes usually arrive between 30-45 days, this is what is written on their webiste.

Go to the automatic email you would have received when you made the request. It should have a temporary request #. Forward that email but put that request # in the subject line and ask for the status of your request. You can say it's been over 30 days so you are following up. My experience is they reply within a few hours during business days.

Is it? The email says 30 calendar days. Approaching 45 days, so hope they come this week. I have sent the temporary request # for both of my emails along with a comment that it's been over 30 days

Got my notes in 60 days. I got no reply from them, so I contacted our MP which got the ball rolling a little faster.

That's quite unusual. I once ordered mine and just before it was 30 days, they sent me an email saying they will need an extension of 30 more days. Perhaps it was just an oversight on their part or their process is different now. In anycase, good you got results. :)

60 days? Wow. Still waiting for ours. Contacting our MP won't help. Lucky me lives in the riding of an MP who is currently in court due to charges that he exceeded the spending allowed during an election. Even if he wanted to help, I suspect any department that sees a request from his office will "accidentally" lose it. ???

This is disappointing to read. I ordered my notes on June 19th and was thinking I would get them within the next week. Based on this, it doesn't seem like I will. :(

I am in exactly the same situation. Ordered on June 19th as well! I have been counting down the days to recieve them this week (or sooner I was hoping)....*sigh*

I shouldn't be surprised.....everything with CIC is about waiting and then it not showing up when they say....

ok, so my husband went here to apply for the case notes for my immigration file (electronic). He applied under the privacy act, and submitted a signed consent form from me. He was not prompted to pay for the notes. Did we do this correctly or was he suppose to choose "access to information"? I thought because he is doing it on my behalf, he would be charged $5? I am confused...what is the difference between the 2 applications besides the obvious charge for payment?

You need Access to Information, and not Privacy (Privacy is free from what I remember). When you select the correct category, it will prompt you for the $5 via VISA at the end.

right, i understand that, but what is the difference in what will be received? Will we not get the full set of notes? Why would my husband (a canadian citizen) choose to pay for the notes if it's available for free? I am not understanding what the difference is and whether it means we need to submit another application under "access to information"?

When you do the privacy act, your notes will only cover the information from Mississauga. Access to Information is 5 bucks and will show you the notes from Mississauga and Ottawa.
