I am Indian currently residing in uk on a dependent spouse Visa. I did my whole PR process from UK.

Canada High Commission received my application in August 2011. I was single at that time.

On 1st August 2012 I received a letter from them demanding additional documents such as : New application form IMM0008/ background declaration form/ form IMM5406/medical examination and PR FEES

The problem is : in the mean time I got married in October 2011, but on the second stage i did not declare my change of circumstances. I am not too sure If I declared my marital status or not.

2 days ago, I received an email from them stating them that I have reached the final stage of process and I have to submit passport, so the PR visa can be issued. There is an Updated Information chart. If I declare my spouse now, will they not question me, that why I did not declare in 2nd stage.

I will be sponsoring her visa later right now she is not accompanying me but will join me later. What is the best way to come out of this situation and the best way to declare my change of circumstances?

As I read online, that if it is not declared before landing, my pr might be cancelled and she will never be able to migrate with me. I want to declare as we want to migrate to Canada. I am aware it will delay the pr process longer as she has to go through medical and criminal check, which is fine, but I did my medical in January 2012.
SO need to know WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO DECLARE CHANGE IN CIRCUMSTANCES.

Any Advice would be appreciated ...Thanks

Hey.. what happened to your application? Can you share wat u experienced with that situation.. coz im in the same dillema.. tnx..

If you are in the same situation, then you need to notify the visa office that you have gotten married and submit the forms, fees, and other documents required to add your wife to your application now. There is no other option.

If you do not declare your wife and use the visa issued to you as a single person to land in Canada, then two things will happen: (1) you will never be able to sponsor your wife; (2) you may have your PR status revoked for misrepresentation because you failed to declare your wife before landing.

Add your wife to your application now.

Tnx for the reply skyla^^ i appreciate it..

Yup the same in a way.. but i think mine is a lil bit complicated.. i wish to hear ur thoughts about this..

The thing is.. im currently single.. my application to cic is ongoing.. im getting married on dec 23 this year which i assume my application is still on process by that time.. and i apply under the manitoba provincial nominee program.. which i was sucsessfully nominated.. im still single that time.. my wife to be is working in canada shes only on a working permit visa.. shes working in alberta more than 2yrs now.. and she also plans on submitting an aplication for pr maybe a few months from now.. wat worries me is we are applying on under different provinces.. will it be wise if i ask her not to file her application? And wait for mine instead? How will it affect my aplication if manitoba will learn that shes working in alberta for two years already.. is there a chance for my application will be refuse under this circumstances?
