ok i've booked the courier to pick up our application tomorrow
now i'm a jibbering wreck
keep checking/re-checking and then checking i've checked everything

then i have a nice cup of tea

then i start to panic have i got the correct number of photos and the correct specification
then i have a nice cup of tea

then i start to think should i add anything to our story?
then i read it and think it's fine

then i.... blah blah blah

any last words of advice before this beautiful paper made creature i've created like a new- born goes out into the big brave world without me?

*and breathe*

haha everyone goes through this, there is 2 more steps to do ...........
be patient and relax.

Only one advise...Close your eyes and mail the damn thing! it's not going to let u sleep if u keep it home!

Trust me...u feel such a relief when it's gone in the mail! :)

I'm doing the same thing and I'm still weeks away from mailing because of the fbi check. LOL

I don't think it'll get better after it's sent, but worse, I just know I'll think of something to add and panic cause it's too late!

Walk away from it.

Do something else, anything else, relax.

Come back, scan it quickly for signatures (very important) and then box it up and mail it.

Breathe out, and get ready to wait.

Glad to see I'm not the only whose doing that. I made sure I had everything, and everything was signed...over and over. I shipped it to my wife and I still worry that maybe the part about our relationship didn't have enough info and it's not convincing enough. or maybe i didn't include enough evidence. so much to worry about, I'll be happy when its all done and over with. I don't exactly feel comfortable just giving all of our personal convos over to a stranger, when I don't even know what kind of conversation would show a genuine relationship! so needless to say, they didn't get very much messenger logs. lol

ha! so relieved i'm not the only crazy one heh
am now trying to mow the back garden in between dodging the rain showers
the courier is picking it up in the morning so i don't think i will relax until it's out of my hands!!!
will check for signatures for the fiftieth time before i hand it over LOL

then i'll start on the timeline saga
*sings* don't worry about a thing, cos every little thing is gonna be alright yeah...

The signatures alot of people miss is on the additional family information, it requires a signature in the middle of the page to say if you have no children. I remember before I posted mine, I was thinking over every last thing and second guessing myself, then I was like pull urself together you have checked everything over a million times and done so many drafts of all the forms I knew if something was wrong they will contact you about it not straight up reject your case lol! and guess what? I did everything spot on and was finished exactly 3 months later. ;D and i will be landing next week!

ohhh you're so lucky. I know every case is different and all but how much evidence did you submit?

shandymoo you're my heroine!!
i doubt very much mine will be so fast and straightforward
but i have triple checked that i've crossed all the t's and dotted all the i's
(just checked again that i've signed the middle of that form where applicable and i have)
right off to watch nonsense on the telly and then phone my wife
she's stressing with going on strike and trying to get the house renovated
lalala

thanks again everyone for making me feel *normal* heh

no problem. probably one of the very few places that you will find people that will understand exactly what it is like to go through this process and be away from their loved one for so long.

Hmm lets see...
Well mine was an on going 6 year affair with 3 or more visits a year of a month or longer.

-I had pretty much every travel itinerary document and invoice from the first one so i photocopied every one.
-All my passport pages with stamps on them.
-I had lots of plane ticket stubs too I photocopied those.
- 200 pictures (a selection of every visit over the 6 years)
- 50 wedding day pictures from ceremony and reception
- Photocopies of wedding cards, cards and letters to each other, a few emails from the beginning (i had loads but picked a few soppy lovey dovey ones lol), skype chat logs since may 2009 (thats as far as it went back), a screen shot of my computer showing us on skype together,
- signed letters from his friends and family saying our relationship is genuine, signed letter from my friends and family.
- my answer to the development of relationship question was answered with a 12 page essay of every trip and a summary of what we did (all my pictures backed it all up) I had my pictures organised on my computer by month and year so I could look back on what we did on each trip. - helped when writing the relationship essay!
- 100s of pages of phone bills showing his cell phone number and work number.
- proof of our joint bank account
- receipts of gifts I bought him ( a big flat screen tv) also pictures of the gifts

I think i had even more stuff but thats all i can remember right now. I had a big package I doubt they read all of it though tbh but its better to bombard them with evidence that they just skim over than to have very little!
