Hi,

Got all the paperwork completed and will be applying on Tuesday 10th Feb, 2009. I shall be grateful for the community feedback on missing/additional documents need to send to Sydney. Here is the package that I have put together.

1. Main Application
2. Schedule 3 - Economic Classes - Federal Skilled Workers
3. Additional Family Information (Principal Applicant i.e. myself)
4. Schedule 1 - Background/Declaration (Principal Applicant)
5. Additional Family Information (Spouse)
6. Schedule 1 - Background/Declaration (Spouse)
7. Photocopy of Passport Pages (Principal Applicant)
8. Photographs (Principal Applicant only)

I will be taking IELTS on 22nd of February. What should I mention in the Language Ability question of Schedule 3. At present I have written NO. In this case should I send an explanation stating that IELTS score can be provided later

Also, do I need to send the following to Sydey now.

1. Photocopies of Educational Certificates/Degrees
2. Photocopies of Experience Letters
3. Photocopies of Passport Pages (Family Memebers)
4. Photographs of Family Members

Looking forward for your help.

Regards,

Thanks Rupeshhari, Any feedback for the IELTS. This to me is tricky. Should I wait till the results, or just send the application without IELTS

Domingo,

How many points have you claimed for English? You should wait for the IELTS results only if you are doubtful that you will get the required points. Keep in mind that it will be at least another month before you can send in the application, then. You never know when the rules change, so better get in line as soon as you can!

My advice is, since you will need the IELTS results only in the second stage, you can go ahead and apply saying no to the IELTS. Just explain in the covering letter that you have already booked the test for Feb 22nd.

Regards,

Are you applying FSW category 1? If yes I think photos are not needed on the submission at Sydney, NS.

you have to answer no if you have not taken the ielts. just put in the maximum points if you need it to reach 67.
if you answer yes you will need to attach a copy of your test result.

adantage in taking the ielts before sbmitting your application? your test result will be valid even if your processing takes years.

advantage in taking the ielts after you have submitted your application? you can take the ielts test as many time as you need to reach your desired score.
disadvantage is if they ask for your documents more than a year after your ielts in february 22, 2009 it wont be valid anymore.

I believe that IELTS scores will remain valid for more than a year if they are submitted to local visa office when the case is approved by Sydney CIC. Also, one can always submit a new score until the final interview. Please correct me if thats not the case.

i don't think it expires when you have already submitted your score to sydney with your application, the 1 year validity applies when you have taken the ielts before you submit your application.

but i'm not sure, wait for other opinions.
