Hello,

I'm already in Canada under a employer-specific permit.

I can speak both French and English. My CRS score is at the moment 503. BUT: English score will expire September 28th. Planning to apply July 30th. (1 year work exp. finished)

Will I be able to upload another English score? Are my scores promising?

Best,
Malak

Score is a lock to get an invitation in the very next round.

You should receive an ITA before your English score expires.

Thank you for your reply!

So you're saying I apply as soon as I complete my 1 year experience (July 22nd) I should apply?

Also: What happens if I get the next ITA and my score expires?

Your language test results must be valid at the time of ITA and time of application.

So you need to make sure you have all documents when you get your ITA so you can apply as soon as possible.

And also throughout the application, correct? Otherwise how to they make a difference between new and old scores?

What do you mean by "throughout the application"?

There are broadly three stages during which your scores need to be valid:

1) When you create an Express Entry profile (note: creating an Express Entry profile is not an application, it is an expression of interest)

2) When you receive an ITA

3) When you submit your application for PR.

It is fine if your test results expire after your submit your application, but before your PR is approved.

Do you have a source stating the "It is fine if your test results expire after your submit your application, but before your PR is approved." please?

Thanks,
Malak

"How long language test results are valid for

Your test results must be less than two years old when you submit your application for permanent residence."

So based on what you're saying, when I apply around July 22nd for EE, I would have to wait for a round of invitation (probably the soonest seen my score) then apply, get the ITA apply with my documsnts all in all before September 28 (Expiry of my IELTS).

Question what if I do get ITA after, do I submit another test with equivalent CLBs?

Yes, that's correct.

If you get an ITA, and your language test results expire before you can apply, you need to do another test, and the results must be sufficient to maintain the minimum score for the draw you were invited under.

Thank you so much guys! Final question: Can I apply with the 1560 hours Full-time work rule? I work 40 hours per week and I will accumulate the 1560 sooner than expected ?

Best,
Malak

No, any work of more than 30 hours per week may not be counted towards the 1,560 hours. You need at least a full 52 weeks of work experience.

"Your experience must be at least:
  • One yearof full-time work
    • 30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours), or
  • equal amount in part-time hours, such as:
    • 15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
    • 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
For part-time work, you can work more or less than 15 hours/week as long as it adds up to 1,560 hours.
We don’t count any hours you work above 30 hours/week."

Sounds good this is crystal clear now!
