Language Test Exam for Canada Skilled Worker PR

Hello,

Please help me with question below. In order to apply for Canada PR I need to take IELTS. I am not getting date before early June which means I cannot file my application before end of June. Other option is going to Canada where dates are available, but I am not sure how quickly the quota will be filled. Is this worth spend $1000 to go to Canada and take exam or I can afford to wait until June.

Appreciate if any one has history of how many applicants were in last year and what is expected this year.

Which category are you planning to apply for? One of the categories filled up in 2 days last year (and the cap was higher).
