Hi,

I'm from Jordan and doing my PhD in Milwaukee -Wisconsin for the last three years. My major is Industrial Engineering. I’m working also as a half time teaching assistant / project assistant in the same school. I’m trying to apply for immigration through skilled labor category.
My first concern is about the language proficiency as my TOEFL “Proficiency exam test is expired long time ago” what I need to prove my language proficiency rather than taking the exam again
Second concern thing, I don’t have 10,000 Canadian dollars on me right now how can apply for immigration without having the whole sum

Thanks for assistance

Dear friend,
If you are from english speeking country(Native language is english) Language proficiency is not required for you otherwise you must need to take not TOEFL,It's IELTS to prove your english prificiency.
Second, fund is not a concern in the initial stage. It is in the second stage you need to show. ie after the approval from CIO Novascotia .That means you will get atleast 2-5 months time to collect this fund.
The first step is assess and find Whether you have the desired 67 points and then start the process.

I think the immigration instruction doesn’t specify the language proficiency exam but the question is about my case where I’m studying in US for more than three years and working there to. Are the transcript and verification letter from the school good prove or not ?
