Hi

Can my husband land within Canada once his outland is approved from usa?
We already had an interview in usa.

Can he land from any other country?

I don't think it matters where he lands from but if a senior member knows better than I ... well

There are 2 ways to land.
1. From ANY international flight to Canada, at the airport. Doesn't matter what country you're coming from.
2. If already in Canada, or are driving from USA, then at any land border crossing.

He can't go back to usa because he does not have multiple visa.
My lawyer said he needs a good reason if he is landing from other flight than usa.
Can someone please verify it?

Thanks

You don't need a US visa to do a landing at a border crossing. When you drive to the US border, you just tell them you immediately want to return to Canada side to do a flagpole PR landing. They will give you something like an "administrative denied entry" to US, and then you go right back to Canada office to land. The denied entry is just administrative so doesn't have any impact on future travel or visa requests for USA.

Also when flying to Canada, immigration doesn't care what country you're coming from. You could have been on vacation before arriving to Canada for all they know. I think your lawyer is simply wrong.

It looks like my lawyer wont apply for us.

May be we can apply ourselves

What things do we need?

?? What does this mean? Your lawyer has nothing to do with you landing. When your PR application is approved, CIC will mail you the COPR (Conformation of Permanent Residence) to your home address. You then just take this COPR, your passport, and appropriate import forms if you're importing any goods into Canada... and either go to a land border or fly international into Canada to "land".
Your lawyer has nothing to do with this.

No i meant we wanted to apply a visitor visa for him

As i just stated, you DO NOT require a US visitor visa to land.

No i meant canadian visitor visa so he can come here ( if it gets approved) and he can wait for his PR here.

If you have already applied to sponsor him and have gone through all the steps including an interview, I can only assume that you are now just waiting on the COPR paperwork and such? If he is no longer in the US and was not a resident/citizen of the US, how did you start your sponsorship there? What is he using for an address now to receive his COPR and such, as he had to list a US address to begin with.

Applying for a visitor visa to Canada at this time would be a waste of your money. It will not be approved since you already have gone through all the steps for sponsorship and are now just waiting for his official landing documents. If I understood all of your previous posts, this is correct.

He is on F1 status.
Our interviewer said that it will take another 2 to 3 months.
She suggested we can apply if we want to.

What is your husbands nationality, Amber?
