Dear All,
Myself & wife got PR visa. ( Date of Expiry is on May 10th)
My wife is pregnant and due to some medical complications, she is not in a position to travel to Canada before the visa expiry. I am the principal applicant and was planning enter Canada and complete my landing formalities by end of this month.
Earlier Senior members in this forum had advised me that it should be enough if the Principal applicant lands before the visa expiry and later on sponsor dependents. I had contacted Immigration office thru email and this is the reply I got :
"You must return the original passports and Confirmation of Permanent Residence documents to our office as soon as possible as they must be cancelled.
With the permanent residence documents, we included a letter intitled "NOTICE" which indicates that if you have a change in family composition, you may not proceed with the permanent residence documents in your possession.
In order to add your child to your application, we require the following documents:
* processing fee for your child (if accompanying you to Canada)
* your child’s birth certificate
* copy of your child’s valid passport
* 4 recent photographs of your child
* updated IMM0008 Generic for yourself and updated IMM5406 “Additional Family Information” form for yourself and your spouse. "
Now I am confused and don't know what to do.. Please help!!
