Hi all - just wanted to share my landing experience & an issue we ran into at the airport.
My partner received his COPR recently and we planned to do our landing at YVR upon our return to Canada from a recent trip. It clearly states on the CIC website, if you have a COPR you do not need an eTA to travel to Canada (if you are from a visa-exempt country, which my partner is). However, we were told when checking in that we did in fact need one, and he would not be able to fly without one. The airline called immigration to confirm, who reaffirmed the fact that he would need an eTA.. though their website clearly states otherwise. This caused a bit of commotion and stress, having to get out of line and quickly apply on our phones and wait for the acceptance email then get back in line.

Despite the airport traumas, landing at YVR was incredibly easy. We were in and out within 5 minutes. Was asked a couple questions, signed the COPR, and done!
Thanks everyone for your input and help over the last few months with the application process, it's much appreciated!
