LANDED..........
15-07-2016
So after receiving our COPR in May, we eventually landed on July 15.

As it was a flight from New York, we landed at Teminal 1 around 6pm. The guy at customs was nice and just asked how many were landing then directed us to immigration where the loveliest officer I've ever encountered talked us through the process, got us to sign the papers after asking a couple of questions and asked us to sit down while he completed everything. We were called up 5 mins later and told congratulations and welcome to Canada (although we've lived here 4 years so it was more like welcome home! )

He then said that the Service Canada office was next door if we wanted to get our SIN numbers - it apparently is open until 9pm! No line up and we were out within 10mins.

All in all we couldn't have asked for a better landing and now just have to wait for our PR cards to arrive.

Good luck to everyone still waiting - it's definitely worth the blood, sweat and tears we all put into this process.

If you come ready with your list of accompanying goods and goods to follow for customs, there are no other forms to fill.

Thanks , how about PR application form?

You don't fill anything except the social security card form. I would fill that out , print it and bring it with me.

The only thing we had to complete was the signature on the COPR then a small form for the SIN which only asked for my address and parents names (hubby already had a temporary SIN so didn't need to complete anything)

We've lived here for 4 years so all our furniture etc was already here so no 'goods to follow' forms were needed.

Hope this helps.
