I haven't landed via bus but I know that if you're going to take an extended amount of time at the border the bus will likely just leave without you. Say landing takes an hour for example, the bus likely wont hold up all the other passengers for that long. I would recommend a day trip to Niagara Falls and just walk over the bridge there and back.
