Landing at the border with a Canadian minor

Please advice,
I'm landing at the border very soon. I'm trying to find the answer on my query whether my 2 yr old Canadian born child requires passport at the US side or during my landing process.She only have birth certificate.
Anyone who experienced the same?

Children: Canadian citizens 15 years old and younger arriving by land or sea from contiguous territory may present an original or copy of his or her birth certificate or a Canadian Citizenship Card.
