landing at the airport question

very soon, I will travel back home and come back to land with my dependants(kids) I want to know the different between airport landing and border. Also for those that have the experience of bringing in dependants: were u asked to show proof of income/bank statement to support dependents and how much is expected to have in ur bank Account????????????? pls let me know. I want to make sure that I am well prepared also what else will I bring while re-entering Canada???

No difference in terms of what happens with the Canadian side - in some aspects it is easier since you don't need to flagpole via the US. You will likely be referred to secondary immigration after the first immigration desk to complete landing.
