A friend of mine said he saw on the instruction that follow his visa that he can return the visa if he is nit ready to go to canada within a year that the visa will be reissued back when he is ready , that he will only need to repeat the medicals when he is ready after a year. That instead of letting it expire he could return it.

From people who got visa recently is this statement right. Did you see such statement like this accompany your visa.

this reasing is that i am planning to return my visa when i get it as i am not ready to immigrate to canada now for a personal reason

Can people who have gottenl landed help with some info

Your friend doesn't know what s/he is talking about. Your visa is issued, you either "use it or lose it" before it expires. There are no "do overs"

you musy use it or lose it for not using it. to get it back, you will have to reapply only if your profession is on the then ministerial list.
