Hi,

I was an inland FSW applicant and have landed in Canada 10 days ago at small border office.

I have gone to Service Canada several times but still my information wasn't online. So I couldn't get my number.
Actually they used the word "your information hasn't been validated yet."

I am getting worried about this and wondered if this issue will affect the delivery of my PR card.

Are there any people who have had a similar situation? ???

I went to get my SIN a couple days after landing without any issues, using the signed and stamped copr.

Maybe somebody else had a similar issue to yours and could tell you how they dealt with it.

Have you thought of calling IRCC to see what it shows in their records? Maybe the officer at the border made a mistake.

Call cic or visit your border office to check the status. I got sin on the same day.

Usually it takes 1 or 3 weeks after the landing... In my case it takes 2 weeks after I got my SIN number they just give me a letter saying they already applied for my SIN number then after another I received the letter from Service Canada for the confirmation of my new SIN#. they don't issue SIN card nowadays only a paper indicates your updated SIN.

Yeah, i was disappointed that they discontinued the sin cards as well. Now all you get is just a regular print out with your number on it.

Thank you for replying everyone.

I have visited multiple Service Canada offices..and told to call CIC. Then...nothing changed. My information was not online yet. It has been 2 weeks.

Anyway I had to apply it by mailing. Just wondered if the 'information' is not only for SIN but PR card. If so I would figure it out months later..I don't want it. :-[

i had the same issue when i renewed my Work permit and went there to renew my SIN
They said it is not updated online yet, so they applied for my SIN online and i received my sin after around 2 weeks in the mail.

so you can also ask them to apply for SIN by paper, everything else (PR Card) would be fine, its just late updating in service Canada record sometimes

This is quite unfortunate as you should be able to get SIN same day you complete your landing, I got mine 30mins after landing at an IRCC office. The issue is definitely from CBSA officer that did your landing formalities so if possible go back to the border to resolve.

I had the similar problem where I got my permanent SIN after a month of landing.
Immigration officer who signed me for landing did not enter details in IRCC system. After calling IRCC call centers many times they sent urgent message to the IRCC local office where I landed and finally 30 mins after the call on 30th day the immigration officer called me and excused for the delay and said that I should be able to get my SIN. Service Canada validated my information later that day
Keep calling IRCC call center.

I'm facing the same issue. I landed on 29th May. Service Canada told me that my file is still flagged by immigration office. I called up IRCC multiple times already, they said they are going to send some paperwork to Toronto Airport immigration office to resolve the issue but they did't give me any deadline :/

Does anyone is still facing same issue? Does it help if you personally go to airport ? Any advice would be helpful.

Did you solve this issue?

We landed at the Toronto Airport but the system went down at the time so we only had our PR confirmation paper signed without it being entered into the system. After 2-3 weeks and many phone calls, we still haven't been able to get any SIN because they haven't entered yet. I am thinking about going back to the airport to have this resolved. Does anyone have any experience of going back to the Toronto airport or know how to resolve this issue? We need the SIN to work :(

Can you go to ServiceCanada location with your original docs(landingpaper, copr, passport) and get this thing done there as well...
I arrived last yr (on a WP) had similar problem.. got my SIN number from ServiceCanada

I went back multiple times to the Service Canada but every time they said it was not confirmed. They told us to apply through paper instead but it has been more than 2 weeks and I am worried that they still need to have the landing confirmed in the system. I transfer within my company so I need to work ASAP. This has been making me really worried :(
