Land in Canada for 3 weeks, get PR card, and go back to home/work country to settle everything

Hi guys, me and my wife has received our passport request last week. We applied through Quebec and hence the port of entry will be MOntreal.

I am working in UK and would like to continue here for 6 more months. Is it possible for us to land there, apply for our PR card, and fly back to UK to finish off my commitmet before we start settling in Canada?

I read somewhere that there is a fast track process to get the PR card. Has anyone came along this process? We can stay only upto 3 weeks maximum once we land there.

I would really appreciate any help on this.

1, There is no "fast track" for the initial PR card. Have it send to a friends address in Canada, (Quebec is best as you were selected by them) and they can forward it to you.
