Hi everyone,

i am November 2015 applicant.

my medicals submitted this month.

waiting for PPR.

if i laid off before my PPR. what happens to PR?

do i need to inform to CIC?

Hear me out. I might be wrong but if I were you, I would not contact them. It'd only affect you if your employer notified them for it. And you'd know if they did or not because CIC or PNP would have contacted you to verify with you. Even then it wasn't your decision to leave the company.

So please be patient about all, don't panic and I hope you find a new job soon!

BEST OF LUCK!

But CIC and PNP are not GOD. Why we have to follow their each and every unnecessary rules. Sometimes, following every instructions may harmful for us, we have to follow only genuine things.

but the rules are the rules of CIC and PNP and if they find out then you have problems
and if they want they can find out via service canada
ie. misrepresentation and they have the right to reject your application

Even if you told them that you are laid off, it is not going to change their decision. To be laid off is not something new. Your records before been laid off qualified you for the program. So, nothing will change. Again, i think the change in status that CIC is talking about is majorly when you have new job or so not when you are laid off.
