Laid off for PNP job at end of March. AOR November. Please help...

I don't know what to do. As long as I am working am I valid or do I need to withdraw right now ? I am so devastated I didn't see this coming...

Sorry about the lay off but that's just how things are sometimes.

Does your PN explicitly state that you must have this specific job for your PN to remain valid? Does your PN explicitly state that you must have a/any job in that province for your PN to remain valid? Or was having a job just a requirement to get the PN and is no longer a mandate?

I suspect it is the 3rd one. And in that case, you don't have to worry about any potential impact on your PR application. Good luck on the job hunt.

Sorry to hear that kmagnusc. Can you reapply for CEC next time since you already earned the experience?

Thank you Asivad and bellaluna for your kind words. I read through BCPNP documentation and it is true that my nomination says I only needed employment at the time of registration and nomination. I have contacted CIC via CSE and e-mail to BCPNP (since they do not have formal system for enquiry I noticed...). I guess now all I can do is wait. It stinks because I am at this job a year and a half but it took me 4 months to get PNP docs from them and then more issues with CIC, etc. If my app had gone through the first time it wouldn't have mattered. So frustrating. I am already looking for new work (though I have my job until march 31). hopefully I can find something to CSE them again soon to show I am working hard...
