Hi Everyone

We sent our Inland Spousal App on April 16,2015 ( I am the sponsor). I sent the package via Purolator, and the tracking information said it was delivered Friday April 17 at 9:53 am.

When looking at everyone's Name/Profile info on the side <---- I see that people have the point of "Application received by CIC" and then "AOR received". Do you get acknowledgement via letter or email that they have received your application or is the first contact from them the AOR?

Reason for my question is I just read that on the outside of your courier envelope/or on the form for delivery you are supposed to write "Spousal Application for PR". I didn't do this, and just sent the entire package which consisted of the application for Sponsorship and PR in one envelope, and the OWP application in another envelope, both labelled, INSIDE the Purolator Envelope.

***We also sent the application with only the solemnization of marriage as our certificate was taking too long. I just received the certificate yesterday and wanted to send it in but have no idea where and how to send it now as I have not received any correspondence from CIC as to notify that they received the application.

Any insight would be appreciated;

Thank you

Mari

Until you receive communication from CIC it is pointless sending in any further information.When you receive AOR then you will be able to send it in with that information attached UCI # so they can match up your files.

Thanks Taffy.
He already has a UCI due to work permit. Do you think it would be ok to send the marriage certificate with that information now?

I am just wondering if they will reject and send back the application because I only sent the solemnization, though I sent the receipt for the marriage certificate on-line payment to prove i did order it attached to the solemnization.

You have to send a photocopy so its up to you. They may attach it or they may just ask for one later on.I haven't seen one application be returned because marriage certificate was not included. Many have been asked to provide a long form and others has been asked to provide the short form,but no application has been returned from what i have seen on the thread.. Fingers crossed .

If it makes you feel better then do it.

For Inland, the earliest communication at best is 3 months in but most of the inland applicants are getting AOR at the 4-5 month juncture. My file was classified mistakenly as inland and i got AOR in 2 months though...
