Kuwaiti PCC Application from Canada

Hi

I'm preparing/collecting documents to apply for PR under the CEC category in Canada. I was born in Kuwait, have Indian nationality and am currently working in Canada (Since 2006).

The CIC website states that i should be able to send certain documents to the Kuwaiti consulate in Canada and apply thru there but they (Kuwait Embassy) simply hang up on me saying they do not process PCC's. They do not provide me any information as to what or how i can obtain one. I actually got yelled at by the receptionist there when i pressed for a bit more info as to how i can go about obtaining one (How should i know, i told you we don't process pcc's!!)

My brother, in Kuwait, went over with the documents (Power of attorney - certified and attested and translated into Arabic + plus all the others listed on the website) and they refused and sent him back as well stating that since I haven't been in Kuwait for over 6yr's and they do not process backdated pcc's (?!?) and had him escorted out. They will not even give an official letter stating that either (the reason for denying the pcc)

Has someone applied, successfully, for a PCC from Kuwait, while in another country?

Some Kuwaiti embassies, such as in Australia, do have these services listed, would it be somehow possible for me to apply thru there(via friend) and get the pcc from there?? Will it be applicable/usable in Canada?

The only document missing for my PR application at the moment is the PCC from Kuwait. Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Hi. Ask your brother to go to the Canadian Embassy (in Kuwait) for a document (he can collect it at the reception desk if he says what he needs it for) which basically says that Kuwaiti Police Clearance is required by them. He needs this document +two of your recent passport size photo (preferably with a blue background) + a copy of your passport in order to ask for your PCC (the place is in Farwaniya). The another thing is, if you remember how your fingerprints were taken in Kuwait. If electronically OK, if not, you will have to send them to your brother from Canada. Also it would be good (not necessary though) if you had copies of your old Kuwaiti documents (like Civil ID and Residency). Hope this will help you.

If this is the only document missing, I suggest you send in your CEC application now to start your countdown clock running. This document can be sent at a later date.
