Kindly clear my doubt regarding mentorship!

Hi,

My regulatory body says "All initial members must successfully complete a minimum 6-month mentorship when beginning to work".

Can someone tell me what exactly is mentorship? Is it like working under a supervisor? Will I get paid during this period? Without paid, it would be difficult to survive in Canada. So m bit worried.

It means working under and alongside a supervisor or peer. It certainly should be a paid position.
