kindly clarify Medical for minor child

Applied for SP along with SOWP for spouse and SP for 8 and 11 year old kids. We did upfront medical for my first kid when he was 10 1/2 years old but submitted application exactly on his 11 the birthday. Do we need to get an updated medical for him with chest x-ray or they will take only date of when medicals was done when he was not yet 11?

Pretty safe to assume they will go based on the application submission date. You can certainly wait and see what happenes. If IRCC requires the xray, you'll get a follow up request.

Thanks for your quick response. Do you know they generally ask to update with x-ray or do all test again? Hospital is not giving clear answer. And what would be the way to confirm this upfront with IRCC? Webform?

I don't know the answer.

You can try submitting a webform to ask but it's hard to say if you'll receive a response back that will answer your question. Often they will just point you to a general rule regarding medicals rather than answering a very detailed question. But you can try.
