kids seat in airline !!!

Hi...I will be travelling to Mississauga in July...My daughter is 2 year old. I was told by someone that I will need to bring with me kids car seat with us as airline does not provide and normal seatbelt of an airline seat will not work.....since I have never travelled by air, kindly clarify !!!

Hi there, Yes you do need a child restraint seat or car seat for a child especially because she is only 2 years old. Each airline is different policy for each airline but here is a a link from Air Canada with everything that you need to know. Please read it. Hi,
If you kid is more than 2 yrs old, your kid will be alloted a seat. No need to buy any child restraint seat. I have traveled with my 2 yr old many times. She was very happy in the seat.

Only during take off and landing you can put her in your lap and have the seat belt over her as well, airline hostess will provide an extra lenthg belt for the same. But that is also not required.

I suggest you dont waste money on this special seat. It is just another luggage for you to carry and manage and it is of nouse.

starting 2 years old airlines provide 1 seat for them...
I think what your friends pertaining is, Canada requires Car seat for private vehicle during travel, it is a Mandatory...

no need. been traveling with my 3 and 1 year old kids from the philippines to united states via cathay pacific (hong kong), korean air (seoul) and philippine airlines (manila) and never had one.. ;D
