just wanna ask about that 38 occupational list. what does it mean? does it mean that if your occupation like if your working as a production worker / glazier ( which i didnt see in the list ) theres no way for you to aply for PR?

im asking this because we are a couple of tfw's from the philippines and our employer is so damn sure that we can apply for PR cause we are under the classification of skilled workers.

im not quite sure if i make sense but i appreciate it if you guys can clear this issue for me...

thanks guys

The list of 38 is only for the federal skilled worker application and also it does not apply if you are living in Canada on a temporary work permit for a year or more. If you are a temporary skilled worker, you can apply for residency as a federal skilled worker if you have been in Canada for a year and you get at least 67 points, you can apply under Canadian experience class after you have been in Canada for 2 years and you might be able to apply right away under a provincial nominee program depending on which province you live in.

appreciate your response Leon have a nice weekend. what can a novice person like me do without you. :) keep it up!
