I am in the process of applying to sponsor my husband so that we can move to Canada. We currently reside in the U.K and have been married for 13 years. We do not have any dependent children. We have filled in most of the forms, but am confused about some of the detail. 1) He has a large family. One of his siblings is deceased. Do I need to include this person on the forms? Do we need to have copies of birth certificates for his parents, brothers and sisters? 2) What is a UCI? Do we need one before we apply? 3) Do we include the last time we entered Canada even though the form has turned grey? 4) Do I enter my Canadian passport information or my British? 5) My parents reside in Canada and will be moving part way through the application process. Will this affect it? Do I need to update this information once they have moved? Can I update the information? 6) My work are not aware that I am trying to sponsor my husband to move to Canada (long story), will CIC contact them direclty? 7) Can I use my U.K annual tax statement instead of a Canadian statement of income? 8) When did friends and family members meet - Does this need to be face to face or is telephone contact accepted?

I know this is a lot to start with and I have more questions.

Considering using a representative as I believe we will have some 'hiccups'. What are peoples views on this and recommendations on using someone in London England?

You don't need a representative. Your case is very straight-forward. Note that you should be posting your questions in the Family Sponsorship section of the forum (not here). Answers:

1) You include the deceased sibling in the family information form but don't need any of his extended family's birth certificates.
2) It's issue later - once you submit the application.
3) No.
4) Canadian.
5) No impact.
6) No.
7) Yes - you can use your UK tax return. Telephone is fine.
